You will need:

Small amounts of green, brown and beige yarn.

Safety eyes

beg = beginning  stitch     ch = chain      sc = single crochet   sl st = slip stitch   sc2tog= single crochet decrease    st = stitch      Rnd = Round       

Shell top:

Rnd 1: with green: magic ring: 6 sc into ring; join with slip stitch to first st. (6 sts)

Rnd 2: with brown, ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around; join with slip stitch to first sc. (12 sts)

Rnd 3: ch 1, *1sc, with green 1 sc in next 3 sc. Change to brown*  repeat from *to* 2 more times, join to first sc. (12 sts)

Rnd 4: ch 1, *with brown, 2 sc in same st, change to green, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc* repeat from *to* 2 more times, join. (18 sts)

Rnd 5: ch 1, *with brown 1 sc in each of next 2 brown stitches, change to green, 1 sc in each of next 4 green sc,*  repeat from *to* 2 more times, join with slip stitch to first sc. (18 sts)

Rnd 6: repeat rnd 5 (18 sts)

Rnd 7-8: with brown, ch1, 1 sc in each sc around, join to first sc. (18 sts)

Fasten off.

Shell bottom:

Rnd 1: with beige: magic ring, 6 sc into ring, join with slip stitch to first sc. (6 sts)

Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join to first sc. (12 sts)

Rnd 3: ch 1, *1sc, 2 sc in next sc* repeat from *to* 5 more times, join to first sc. (18 sts)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew to top of shell.

Head:

Rnd 1: with beige, magic ring, 6 sc into ring. (6 sts)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sts)

Rnds 3-4: 1 sc in each sc around. (12 sts)

Rnd 5: *1 sc, sc2tog* repeat from *to* 2 more times. (9 sts)

Join with sl st, fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew to shell.

Legs: x 4

magic ring

Rnd 1: 6 sc into magic ring

Rnd 2-3: 1 sc ac in each sc around

Join with sl st, leaving a tail to sew onto body.

Finishing:

Stuff the shell and head.

Sew the shell bottom to shell top.

Sew the legs to the shell.

Insert the safety eyes between rounds 2 and 3 before stuffing head and sew the head to the shell.
