Calico Critter Baby Skirt

My latest crochet pattern is this cute little baby skirt for the Calico Critter baby figures.
With only 3 rounds, this pattern works up really quickly, I made one up in less than half an hour.
You will need:
- cotton crochet thread #10 ( I used Aunt Lydia’s)
- 10/1.30mm steel crochet hook
- cord elastic (I used THIS elastic in white)
- scissors
- needle, to weave in ends
Sizes: crawling baby Calico Critter figure (the baby used in the photo above is from the cat twin set)
Difficulty level: intermediate
Glossary of terms used in this pattern:
ch = chain sl-st = slip-stitch sc = single crochet dc = double crochet V-stitch = double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, all in same stitch Rnd(s) = round(s) st(s) = stitch(es)
Skirt:
ch 14, join with sl-st to first ch, ch 1.
Cut a piece of cord elastic about 4 inches long.
Rnd 1: crocheting over the cord elastic, sc in each ch around, join with sl-st to first st. Fasten off. Try waistband on your figure and tie ends in a knot. Trim ends close to knot.
Rnd 2: join thread with sl-st to underside of foundation chain, ch 4 & dc in same space as sl-st, *skip 1 stitch, V-stitch in next ch* repeat from *to* 9 more times, join with sl-st to 3rd ch of the ch 4.
Rnd 3: ch 3, 2 dc in ch 1 space of V-stitch, sl-st, ch 3, 2 dc, in each V-stitch ch 1 space, at the end of the round join with sl-st to first shell.
Fasten off & weave in ends.
