Summer Jumper Pattern

In honor of summer, this weeks pattern is the popular Summer Jumper Dress pattern. This pattern is one of my personal favorites. Pair it with my Cardigan pattern (free pattern) to make a complete outfit.

Add this pattern to your Ravelry queue

You will need:

  • cotton crochet thread
  • 10/1.30mm crochet hook
  • needle, to weave in ends
  • scissors

Note: Like the Morning Glory Dress, the skirt of this dress is worked first and then the bib + straps are added.

Skirt

 ch 24, join with sl-st first ch. 

Rnd 1: ch 2, dc in each ch around, join with sl-st to first st. (24 sts)

Rnd 2: ch 2, *dc, 2 dc in next stitch* repeat from *to* around, join to first st. (36 sts)

Rnd 3: *ch 3, 2 dc in same space as sl-st, skip 1 st, sl-st in next st,* repeat from *to* 17 more times.

Fasten off & weave ends.

Bib:

join thread to foundation ch of skirt,

Row 1: ch 1, sc in next 10 chains, ch 1 & turn.

Rows 2-4: sc across, ch 1 & turn.

Row 5: sc in next 9 sts, 3 sc in last st, do not turn.

Edging & straps: sc down side of front and in first 5 sts of foundation chain, ch 12, sl-st to 2nd ch of bib, ch 1 & sc down length of chain (1st strap made), sc in next 4 sts of skirt foundation chain, ch 12, sl-st to 8th ch of bib, ch 1 & sc down length of chain (2nd strap made), sc in next 4 chains & up the side of bib, join with a sl-st to first sc of edging.

Fasten off & weave in ends
