Finished Project Friday – Stroller Blanket

DSCF0386

This week I (somehow) finished a baby blanket in 2 days!

I’ve talked before about how long it takes me to make blankets, and for that reason I tend to avoid making them. However, I had about a 1/3 of a ball of Bernat Baby Sport in Popsicle Blue that I needed to use up. Has anyone else had a ball of yarn that never seems to end?

Seriously, I’d made a shawl, baby sweater, baby hat, and doll clothes from this same gigantic ball of yarn!

The pattern I used is Call The Midwife Afghan by Jonna Martienez (free pattern linked). I like this pattern because it can be made as big or as small as you want. I made mine 7 blocks wide by 8 blocks tall. This ended up being the perfect size to drape over them in the bouncer or stroller.

This blanket will be going to a local nursery that serves refugees.
