Finished Project – C2C Granny Blanket
The pattern is Repeat Crafter Me’s C2C Granny Stitch Blanket. I kept increasing the blanket until it was about 32″ wide before starting to decrease. I did not do the puff stitch row. The yarns I used are: Red Heart Gumdrop in Blueberry & Red Heart With Love in White. Both of these were yarns that I had had in my stash and the Gumdrop is one I’ve been trying to find the right project for for 4 years. I am quite happy with the results. I did the first 3 rows in the blueberry, then alternated between 2 rows in white & 2 rows of blueberry. The border is nothing fancy, just 2 rounds of single crochet.
This is probably the fastest blanket I have ever crocheted, taking about 10 days to finish. The finished blanket is about 32×32 inches. After finishing it, I still had some of the blueberry yarn left & decided to make a little newborn hat to go with it. The hat pattern Nona Knits’ Welcome To The World Newborn Hat.
I donated this set along with some other baby hats and sweaters to my Grandmother’s crochet group that distributes the blankets along with baby supplies, to new mothers in the hospital. I will try to do a more in-depth post about the group soon.
