Thread Doll – Finished Project Friday
I have previously posted about the dolls I’ve made from the book My Crochet Doll by Isabelle Kessedjian. About a year after I made the first doll I decided to make one out of some crochet thread and a 10/1.30mm crochet hook. It took me a month, but was worth it in the end.
Just as a size comparison, here she is with one of my bigger dolls. Finished she is about 4 1/2 inches tall and fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. The big doll is 14 1/2 inches tall.
I made her a full wardrobe of clothes including: a swimsuit, 2 tank tops, 2 t-shirts, 2 pants & 6 pairs of shoes.
I also made her a small suitcase to store the clothes in with a false bottom that doubles as a bed. I followed Tillie Tulip’s pattern for the Daisy Granny Square to make a blanket for it.
