I Caught The Virus – Finished Project Friday

Today I thought I would share photos of the Virus Shawl that I made for Karina’s birthday a few months ago.

I love this pattern! It takes a little bit of paying attention at first (since it’s just a chart), but is fairly easy to memorize once you get the hang of it and it also goes fairly quickly. I managed to get this shawl done in 9 days. I was even able to get 2 more shawls done in the same month.

The yarn I used is Lion Brand’s Shawl In A Ball in Soothing Blue. I loved working with this yarn. The color changes keep things interesting and the end result looks like the color changes were deliberate. One 150 gram skein was enough to make a shawl 52 inches wide and 20 inches from the top of the shawl to the tip (when blocked).

The PDF for the pattern is available for free HERE (scroll down for pattern). I also recommend watching THIS helpful tutorial by Jonna Martinez.
