Calico Critter V-stitch Sundress – Free Crochet Pattern

Ever since I first saw Calico Critters, I’ve loved them. I love the little pieces, the cute figures, and the different furniture sets. However, I noticed that they don’t really make extra clothes for the figures.

Today, I’m sharing my Calico Critter V-stitch sundress pattern.  I created the pattern a few months ago for my younger sister’s much loved Calico Critter figures as a birthday present.

This pattern fits the child and toddler figures. The child figure in the pictures is the Susie Silk Cat from the Camping set and the baby / toddler is Sophie from the Sophie’s Love ‘n Care Nursery set.

You will need:

  • Mercerized cotton crochet thread (I’m using Aunt Lydia’s in French Rose)
  • 10/1.30mm crochet hook (Boye steel crochet hooks)
  • Cord elastic (for the headband; I’m using THIS elastic by Dritz)
  • Needle to weave in ends

Glossary:

ch = chain      sl-st = slip stitch        sc = single crochet            sts = stitches       V-stitch = dc, ch 1, dc in same stitch         dc = double crochet         hdc = half-double crochet       sk = skip

Note: For the baby’s skirt, use half-double crochet instead of double crochet for the V-stitches.
