Star Wars Crochet Kit

Star Wars Crochet Kit $18.73 on Amazon

This month in anticipation of the release of Rouge OneI decided to do a review of the Star Wars Crochet Kit. My parents gave this to me as a Christmas present last year, I was not compensated for this post.

This kit designed by Lucy Collin, features 12 characters from the original Star Wars movies. They are: Boba Fett, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Ewok, Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2-D2, Stormtrooper and Yoda. All of the designs are 6 inches or shorter.

Included in the kit is: a 3.5mm aluminum crochet hook, the Star Wars Crochet book, 2 pairs 7.5mm of safety eyes, yarn in brown, green, tan, white and black, a yarn needle and stuffing. The included supplies are enough to make 1 Stormtrooper and Yoda.

I made Yoda with the included supplies. I found the pattern very straightforward and easy to follow. I did not like using the included yarn as it felt too plastic-ey and stiff. Also the safety eyes that were included were way too hard to get on, it seemed like the washers were too small to go on the eyes. I finally just gave up and used my own 6mm eyes. Yoda still turned out really cute.

I made Chewbacca with my own yarn and safety eyes and he turned out really cute. Here is a photo of him in progress (He is since finished):

All in all I think a beginner/intermediate crocheter could make these.

I love comments (who doesn’t)
